Radhe suffers from brain damage during the attack and loses his mental balance. Subsequently, the brothel owner and his goons attack Radhe to take revenge on him for trying to shut down their business. Nirjara initially feels intimidated, but ultimately falls in love with him. Unaware of this conversation, Radhe abducts Nirjara so that she would listen to him express his feelings for her. Rameshwar sees this and tells Nirjara that Radhe is a good, selfless man, who truly loves her. The next day, Radhe beats up Aatmaram, forcing him to take her back and to stop harassing her. She tells him that her husband Aatmaram has evicted her, and is demanding money to give her the custody of their son. He saves Mamata from being arrested during a police raid. Radhe, who does not know that she is Nirjara's sister, visits the same brothel to find a man who had harassed a woman. Subsequently, Nirjara's elder sister Mamata, who is in need of money, is nearly tricked into prostitution, when she visits the brothel to meet a man who promises her a loan. As Radhe is about to punch the brothel owner, Nirjara arrives at the scene, and Radhe stops the violence, allowing the brothel owner to escape. Radhe's friends suggest that he give up rowdyism and violence to impress Nirjara, but one day, he roughs up a brothel owner who had beaten up one of his friends. A heartbroken Radhe subsequently tries to talk to her, but she refuses to engage in a conversation. The next day, Radhe brings her a gift, but she tells him that she does not love him, and calls him a goon. Later, he and his friends intimidate Nirjara's fiancé Rameshwar. Radhe interprets this as her acceptance of the proposal. Nirjara is too shocked to say much and utters 'Yes' when Radhe asks her if she was listening to him. One day, Radhe proposes to her and jokingly remarks that he would beat up her father if he doesn't agree to their marriage. Radhe helps her a few times, and she seems to like him. Radhe falls in love with Nirjara Bhardwaj, a student at his former college and the daughter of a poor temple priest. He is a violent man, but often performs apparently good deeds, such as beating up sexual harassers. He lives with his brother Ajay, his sister-in-law Gayatri, and their child. Radhe Mohan is a jobless rowdy, surrounded by a rough circle. In 2011 Kaushik announced a sequel to Tere Naam, but as of 2021 (10 years since the announcement) no such sequel has materialized. Unless your child is eating slime (don’t let them do that), they’re never going to absorb enough borax to do them any harm. In other words, it’s not appropriate to measure the total borax content of the slime and declare it dangerous – they should be looking at the amount of borax which is absorbed during normal use. Plus, the limits that I was able to find are migration limits. It’s all rather questionable, since it’s not really clear which safety guidelines they’re applying and whether they’re appropriate for slime toys. This time it flared up because the consumer magazine and organisation Which? kept promoting research that, they claimed, showed that slime toys contain dangerous levels of borax. July brought a subject which has turned up again recently: slime. And will probably keep on rearing its slimy head. Did you know you can make indicators from the leaves of Christmas poinsettia plants, too? Who knew? You do, now! Check it out if you’re looking for some chemistry to amuse yourself over the holidays (I mean, who isn’t?). In June I wrote about strawberries, and did a neat experiment to show that strawberries could be used to make pH indicator. It turns that this was, and is, a real risk – so if you keep fish and you’ve never heard of this before, do have a read! May featured fish tanks, following a widely reported story about a fish-owner who cleaned out his tank and managed to release a deadly toxin that poisoned his entire family. Chem c3000 supplemental chemical set skin# The bottom line is that everyone in the UK should be taking a small vitamin D supplement between about October and March, because northern Europeans simply can’t make vitamin D 3 in their skin during these months (well, unless they travel nearer to the equator), and it’s not a nutrient we can easily get from our food. Check out the post for more info.Īpril ended up being all about dairy and vitamin D.Īpril was all about dairy after a flare-up on Twitter on the topic, and went on to talk about vitamin D. It’s my quick and easy way of fact-checking online information – an increasingly important skill these days. In March I recorded an episode for the A Dash of Science podcast, and I went on to write a post about VARD, which stands for Verify, Author, Reasonableness and Date. In other words, unless you’re actually working with it – in which case you should have received safety training – there’s no need to be concerned. In a report, the European Food Safety Authority said that the health concern for BPA is low at their estimated levels of exposure. It’s not a harmless substance by any means, but it won’t surprise anyone to learn that the risks had, as is usually the case, been massively overstated. BPA is also used in a number of other things, not least the heat sensitive paper used to produce some shopping receipts. Anyway, BPA is a chemical in many plastics, and of course plastic waste had become – and remains – a hot topic. It’s our penance for daring to enjoy Christmas. There’s always one around January/February time. In February I wrote a piece about BPA (Bisphenol A), which was the chemical scare of the day. February featured BPA: an additive in many plastics.
